Acrobatic Motion is a holistic physical practice proposed by Miro Wallner that uses mainly Acrobatics and Dance to develop body capabilities. The aim is to have an active and prepared body, increasing the range of possibilities in movement. The style developed over the years gets inspiration from Capoeira, Floor Work, Contact Improvisation, and Floor Acrobatics. The class is built on three pillars.
Spine Mobility
Contemporary dance techniques allow the body to move in space using the bones’ alignment and structure. This is an excellent way to release and stretch the muscles, create space between the joints, and increase spine mobility.
Precise Explosion
To perform complex tricks, a large set of skills is required. Often, they are summarized as pure strength conditioning. Rather than building a stiff body, the idea behind this pillar is to practice how to get the maximum power, for a short moment, in a very specific part of the body.
Body Expression
The third pillar is what drives the two others. Having a flexible spine, a large range of mobility, and being able to activate parts of our body with power and precision enables us to fully express ourselves. This part of the practice is where sequences of movement are created and combined.
CLASSES
I’ve recently relocated from Berlin to Vienna to focus on my Master studies. I am looking for opportunities and getting to know the community in Vienna. During my time in Berlin, I developed a rich and diverse teaching practice, which I’m happy to share here. I’m open to teaching classes and workshops again. If you’re looking for a teacher and feel my style aligns with what you’re seeking, don’t hesitate to get in touch — I’d love to hear from you.
